1. Add your images
Drag and drop or tap to select JPG, PNG or WebP files — up to 20 at once, straight from your phone or computer.
2. Choose your settings
Set the quality, optionally resize by max width, and pick an output format. Then hit Compress.
3. Download the results
Grab each optimized image individually, or download the whole batch as a single ZIP file.
Why compress your images?
Compressing images without losing noticeable quality keeps your sites fast, your storage lean, and your files easy to share — all from one free tool.
Faster page loads
Large images are the number one cause of slow websites. Smaller files mean quicker load times, better Core Web Vitals, and higher search rankings.
Save storage & bandwidth
Reduce image file size to fit more photos on your device, cut cloud storage costs, and use less data when you upload or back things up.
Share anywhere, instantly
Email attachments, messaging apps and upload forms all have size limits. Compressed images send in seconds and stay well under the cap.
Frequently asked questions
- Is ShrinkSnap free to use?
- Yes. ShrinkSnap is completely free with no sign-up, no account, and no limits on how many times you can use it.
- Do you store or upload my images?
- No. All compression happens locally in your browser using your device's own processing power. Your images are never uploaded to a server, so nothing is stored, logged, or seen by anyone but you.
- What image formats are supported?
- You can upload JPG, PNG and WebP images. You can also convert between these formats — for example, turn a PNG into a smaller WebP file.
- What is the maximum file size?
- You can compress up to 20 images per batch, with each file up to 25 MB. Files that are too large or an unsupported type are skipped, and the rest of your batch still processes normally.
- Does compression reduce image quality?
- Compression removes data your eyes barely notice, so at the default quality most images look identical while becoming dramatically smaller. You control the quality slider, so you can favor smaller files or higher fidelity as needed. PNG stays lossless, so it is reduced mainly by resizing.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes. ShrinkSnap is mobile-first and works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and desktops. On mobile you can tap the upload area to pick images directly from your camera roll.
